CRISPR Genome Editing

Let our scientific support staff help you select the genome editing tool set that best meets your research project needs. We support two distinct CRISPR approaches:

  • ribonucleoproteins systems from Integrated DNA Technologies
  • in vitro transcribed CRISPR nuclease products from Transomic Technologies

ALT-R CRISPR from Integrated DNA Technologies

With two systems – based on Cas9 or Cpf1 endonuclease – IDT’s Alt-R CRISPR offers numerous advantages providing higher efficiency genome editing.

Alt-R™ CRISPR-Cas9 System- All of the reagents needed for successful genome editing, including tracrRNA with a fluorescent label for convenient imaging and FACS sorting of transfected cell.

Powered by S.p. Cas9 Nuclease 3NLS, proprietary chemical modifications are included that protect the RNA from degradation by cellular RNases and further improve on-target editing performance.

Alt-R™ CRISPR-Cpf1 System – If you need additional target sites or are targeting AT-rich regions, use the Acidaminococcus sp. BV3LC CRISPR-Cpf1 system in electroporation experiments. Protospacer adjacent motif (PAM) = TTTN.

Alt-R™ Genome Editing Detection Kit- If you want to estimate editing efficiency or detect on-target editing in your CRISPR experiments, we recommend using the Alt-R Genome Editing Detection Kit, a T7 endonuclease I–based assay. This kit is ideal for directly analyzing PCR products (i.e., no clean-up step required) to detect multiple-base insertions and deletions.

Designing sgRNAs for CRISPR/Cas9 experiments – IDT can simplify how you generate the RNA sequences (crRNA, tracr, gRNA, sgRNA) required for CRISPR genome editing.

TransEDIT Crispr-Cas9  from Transomic Technologies

Targeting human, mouse and rat genomes, products are available for targeting individual genes, gene families and pathways or the genome.

CRISPR-Cas9 for gene editing- Optimized gRNA designs, versatile vectors and flexible formats for efficient gene editing

gRNA Expression Vectors- Lentiviral vectors designed for optimal expression and selection.

Cas9 Expression Vectors- Enhanced vector design to select for high genome editing efficiency.
